Agnes Kamau is a Marriage and Family Therapist. She is passionate about breastfeeding and works with the informal settlements population. Her passion grew even more after breastfeeding her two daughters. In 2007, while breastfeeding her second born and enjoying the numerous breastfeeding benefits, she aspired to support the less privileged mothers in their breastfeeding journey. She set up a programme that supports optimal breast feeding practices in the second largest informal settlement in Kenya-Africa in 2014 to date. With the support of that organisation’s board, the programme has reached out to many families and made a positive impact.
