Regina Maria Roig-Romero MPH, MCHES, IBCLC is the Deputy Breastfeeding Coordinator for the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program in Miami, Florida. She has served as the IBCLC for several thousand Miami-Dade WIC program participants since her initial IBCLC board certification in 1996. In addition to her other duties, Regina also serves as the peer counselor supervisor for five of Miami’s 15 WIC clinics.
Regina has served on the National WIC Association Breastfeeding Promotion Committee since the fall of 2012. In 2013, she earned her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Health Promotion & Disease Prevention from Florida International University, and followed that in 2014 by earning her certification as a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES). Regina thoroughly enjoys being the mother of her three children, now adults, all of whom were exclusively breastfed.
