Annabelle Mackenzie, M.A., IBCLC, grew up in Birmingham, England, a dual national of France and the UK. She had her children in France, receiving help from IBCLCs with breastfeeding. Soon after, she created a bilingual breastfeeding support group with a French IBCLC which ran for several years. After returning to England, Annabelle volunteered and worked in infant feeding for several years in the National Health Service. She moved to Suffolk in 2016, to become Infant Feeding Coordinator at Suffolk County Council’s Health and Children Centres, where she led the UNICEF UK Baby Friendly accreditation initiative. In late 2018, she moved to her current post as the IBCLC serving the USAF hospital at RAF Lakenheath.
