Sara Blair Lake, J.D., CAE has 20 years of experience as the chief staff executive for healthcare certification boards and associations with 12 years with international nonprofit organizations. Sara currently serves as an Elected Commissioner with the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE) as well as the ICE Fundraising Committee Chair which raises funds for certification and accreditation research and development initiatives.
Previously, Sara served as the Chair of the Certified Association Executive (CAE) Commission of the American Association of Association Executives (ASAE), which is the certifying body for the certification which she herself holds. Additionally, Sara has served on the ASAE International Council and Healthcare Committee. Sara has presented and authored extensively on certification and accreditation, particularly regarding international issues.
She holds a Bachelor’s in Economics and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
