Sara Blair Lake, J.D., CAE has 20 years of experience as the chief staff executive for healthcare certification boards and associations with 12 years with international nonprofit organizations. Sara currently serves as Vice Chair for the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE) as well as the NCCA representative to the ICE Accreditation Services Council, which establishes the strategic direction for ICE’s Accreditation Services Components.
Previously, Sara served as the Chair of the Certified Association Executive (CAE) Commission of the American Association of Association Executives (ASAE), which is the certifying body for the certification which she herself holds. Additionally, Sara has served on the ASAE International Council and Healthcare Committee. Sara has presented and authored extensively on certification and accreditation, particularly regarding international issues.
She holds a Bachelor’s in Economics and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
