Additionally, while IBLCE asks prior to accepting and posting whether “the employer/organisation has any relationship – professional, personal, paid, or volunteer – with any entities who are not compliant with the World Health Organization International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes,” and also performs reasonable good faith due diligence regarding The International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes and subsequent World Health Assembly (“WHA”) resolutions, individuals should also consider conducting their own due diligence in this regard prior to responding to advertisements given the rapid rate of change within industry and affiliations.

IBLCE’s Career Centre is a resource to increase global access to skilled lactation care by closing the gap among IBCLCs, employers, and the public.  IBLCE also seeks to apprise IBCLCs of employment opportunities.  IBLCE therefore does accept 30-day listings from the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) in that the National WIC Association has expressed support for the WHO Code
