WHO Code 40th Anniversary

WHO Code 40th Anniversary: May 21, 2021, is the 40th anniversary of the World Health Organization (WHO) Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes. The Code represents an expression of the collective will of governments to help give children the best start in life – by protecting and promoting breastfeeding; by creating an environment where families can find accurate, unbiased information about infant feeding; and by stopping inappropriate marketing of breastmilk substitutes, bottles, and teats.
