Update as of September 16, 2020: The Deadline to Request a Deferral to an Examination in 2021 is October 30, 2020

Friendly Reminder—For September 2020 examination candidates, if you are unable to take the examination this year, you may be able to defer to an examination in 2021 through IBLCE’s extraordinary circumstances policy.

Extraordinary circumstances include COVID-19 related concerns, such as job loss of the candidate and/or partner/spouse, COVID-19 health issue for candidate or immediate family member, and/or concern for going into the public due to COVID-19.  IBLCE understands that this is a challenging time for many.

Thank you noting that the deadline to request a deferral is October 30, 2020. Contact the IBLCE location that serves you to learn more and start the process.

For recertifying candidates: To defer to an examination in 2021 and receive a one-year certification extension, you will please need to submit 15 L-CERPs with your deferral request by October 30, 2020.
