As you know, this is a dynamic time with a number of emerging and variable factors. IBLCE is working to respond to them to enhance our stakeholders’ experience and to facilitate informed decision making with respect to your choices as you advance towards earning, or retaining, the IBCLC.
As previously shared, IBLCE received a COVID-19 exception from its third-party accreditor to offer Live Remote Proctoring (LRP). The accreditor has indicated it will announce in mid-November whether it will be permissible to offer Live Remote Proctoring moving forward and, if so, under what parameters. If the accreditor decides that LRP is a possible option for continued use, IBLCE will then need to analyse whether this is an option that it can feasibly offer.
Therefore, to provide IBCLC stakeholders with greater information, including information regarding any potential choice of examination administration modality as well the opportunity to request it on the application, IBLCE is shifting the dates of the March 2021 examination administration as well as the associated application window.
Below are the NEW dates:
NEW APPLICATION WINDOW: DECEMBER 8, 2020 – JANUARY 27, 2021
NEW EXAMINATION ADMINISTRATION WINDOW: APRIL 27 – MAY 6, 2021
These dates REPLACE the previously announced March 2021 IBCLC examination and application windows.
Please update your calendars.
Rest assured that IBLCE has confirmed that the IBCLC programme remains an essential one thereby offering greater test centre location availability.
Thank you for your understanding and recognition that IBLCE continues to adapt to evolving circumstances to assist our valued stakeholders in making informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
Thank you for all you are doing to advance global public health always and particularly during this time.
