UPDATE as of July 30, 2021: September 2021 Examination Scheduling Update

Scheduling has begun for some candidates for the September 2021 IBCLC examination. IBLCE is continuing to send Examination Authorisation Emails regularly throughout July and August to the remainder of the approved September candidates.

As a global organisation serving over 5,000 examination candidates in 17 languages this year, IBLCE typically sends these emails to candidates over a period of several weeks, and this year the process is the same. Thank you for noting that you cannot schedule your examination appointment before receiving this communication, as the testing vendor will not be able to schedule your appointment without this information.

To date, 67% of candidates who have received their authorisation have successfully scheduled their examination appointment. You can follow scheduling progress at the September 2021 IBCLC Examination Candidate Dashboard.

Not all testing locations are open for scheduling. If you are served by a “Pop-up Site,” you can learn more its scheduling status here. You will not receive an authorisation until your site is open for scheduling.

If you have not yet received your Examination Authorisation Email, please know we are working to send it to everyone so all can schedule an appointment.

If you have questions about scheduling or the examination, the COVID-19 Resource Centre is the place to go! We recommend checking there first – especially the COVID-19 FAQs page to see if your question has already been answered.

If you have a question that is very specific to your situation, our customer service is here for you. Please reach out to the IBLCE location that serves you.
