Update as of September 25, 2020: A message from the IBLCE team on the final day of the September 2020 examination

With the COVID-19’s impact on test centres around the world, the September 2020 IBCLC examination was hardly a typical examination administration. We have received a record-breaking number of inquiries this year, as we all worked through test centre closures, a new examination mode, and so much more that has changed over the last year. Thank you for your flexibility and patience as we navigated these changes.

If you took the examination this year, please keep an eye out for our post-examination survey in your inbox – coming to you one to two weeks after you sit the examination. The survey will only take a few moments to complete, and your feedback is important to us.

If you deferred to an examination in 2021, we will be announcing the application and examination windows for next year soon. Follow us on social media (FacebookTwitterInstagram) or check the COVID-19 Resource Centre for updates on deadlines and new eligibility requirements for 2021 candidates.

We are so grateful that there are IBCLCs around the world providing the support breastfeeding families need – now more than ever. Thank you for this essential work that you do and for your commitment to the IBCLC credential, especially during these challenging times.

As always, if you have any questions, we are here for you! Please reach out to the IBLCE location that serves you for assistance.

With Best Wishes,

The IBLCE Team
