IBLCE’s Public Registry has been updated to include certification updates from the 2020 IBCLC examination and recertification by CERPs.
In addition to updates based on 2020 certifications/recertifications, IBLCE has also migrated to a new system. The registry is now linked to IBLCE’s online credential management system. This means changes to your name, certification, etc. will be reflected within 24 hours – an important enhancement from our old registry, which was only able to be updated after examination administrations.
For IBCLCs who need to verify their certification with their employer or other stakeholders, we encourage you to use this resource. Providing your employer with the link and your Credential Number (L-#) will allow them to verify your certification on their own. You can also print the page to submit.
Need help finding your credential number? Learn more about accessing your account in IBLCE’s online credential management system here.
As a reminder, here are the other certification verification methods currently available to you:
- Log in to IBLCE’s online credential management system and view/print your certification status in the “My Credentials” tab. Learn more here.
- Submit a certification verification form on behalf of your employer or whomever needs verification of your certification.
- IBCLCs who recertified by CERPs also received a formal email that may be used to verify their certification.
IBLCE has identified potential digital certificate options. For those who certified or recertified in 2020, a digital certificate option will be available in 2021. You do not need to request a certificate. They will be provided to 2020 new and recertifying IBCLCs when available. IBLCE will update the COVID-19 Resource Centre and email you when there is an update.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the IBLCE regional location that serves you.
