IBLCE’s previous IBCLC Public Registry has been made available to enable you and IBLCE stakeholders to search and verify IBCLC credentials by name and/or credential number (L-#). This previous Registry has been updated to include 2020 certifications and recertifications and is now available here.
As announced on January 28, 2021,IBLCE is migrating to a new Registry system that is linked to our online credential management system. However, this new system does not allow for search by name yet. We understand that this is an important feature, so we are reverting to our previous Registry while IBLCE’s technology vendor works on additional enhancements to our new system, including the search-by-name function.
In addition to making the search-by-name option available on the Registry, we continue to work toward making digital certificates available to those who certified or recertified in 2020. IBLCE is in the final stages of vetting digital certificate vendors. There are several good options available, and we will announce here when updates become available.
We are looking for digital certificate solutions in all 17 IBLCE languages. Additionally, the digital certificate will be accessible on your mobile phone or online, sharable on social media, as well as printable.
After the selection has been made, it will take several weeks to implement this new solution, but this is an important step toward providing digital certificates to 2020 IBCLCs.
As a reminder, here are the certification verification methods available now:
- login to your online credential management account
- use the Public IBCLC registry
- submit a certification verification
- and/or contact your IBLCE location for a letter verifying certified status that can be provided to third parties.
We will continue to provide regular status updates as additional certification verification methods become available for IBCLCs who certified or recertified in 2020. Please contact the IBLCE location that serves you if you have any questions.
