IBLCE continues to work to provide IBCLC certificates and will be providing both digital and printed IBCLC certificates later this year to both new and recertifying IBCLCs from 2020 and 2021. We will post updates on the IBLCE COVID-19 Resource Centre as we have more news.
Due to the logistics of providing mailed certificates during a pandemic, IBLCE delayed the mailing of printed IBCLC certificates from 2020 and, as the pandemic’s impacts are still affecting many aspects of logistics, IBLCE expects that the printed IBCLC certificates for new and recertifying IBCLCs from the April/May 2021 examination will also be somewhat delayed.
Results from the April/May 2021 examination administration are expected to be provided online in credential management accounts by mid-July.
While the preparation for certificates is still in progress, IBLCE provides a variety of certification verification options. As we have done for IBCLCs in 2020, these options will be available to new and recertifying IBCLCs in 2021.
As a reminder, the following are certification verification options:
- Logging in to your online account in the credential management system and following these steps to find your certification status.
- Submitting a Certification Verification Request to the IBLCE location that serves you. You will need to submit the request on behalf of your employer or whomever else requires the verification.
- Checking the IBLCE online registry to verify an IBCLC certification status.
- Contacting your IBLCE location for a letter verifying your IBCLC certification status that can be provided to third parties.
